I know people love their Instant Pot. I see a million recipes out there that feature them, but I am not a fan. I feel like there is a huge learning curve and I'm not willing to put in the time. The few times I have tried to use the Instant Pot, I felt like it was taking as much time to prepare the recipe as it would if I just used the traditional stovetop method. I was not impressed. Now the Crock-Pot is a different story. It really does simplify my life.

What Are Beef Tips And Noodles?

Beef tips are bite-sized pieces of beef that have been cut from larger roasts such as sirloin or tenderloin.

Like stew meat, there are many different cuts of meat that can be labeled as beef tips. The good thing about using the slow cooker is the longer cook time will break down the meat and give you tender bites of beef.

Crockpot Beef Tips Served with Noodles

I chose to serve these beef tips with egg noodles. Because egg noodles have an elongated corkscrew shape that holds the wine infused sauce in every curve. However, noodles aren't the only way to soak it all up! Mashed potatoes and polenta are equally fine options!

Beef Fact and Cooking Tips

  • Beef is an important part of a healthy diet for kids. Research shows that enjoying lean beef daily can help lower cholesterol levels.
  • Preparing healthy meals ahead of time can help avoid eating unhealthy foods on days you're short on time. A 3-ounce serving of beef provides more than 10 essential nutrients and half the daily recommended value of protein for less than 150 calories.
  • When using a slow cooker, set the heat to low as often as possible. A slow, gentle heat really brings out the flavors.
  • Don't over-crowd the cooker! A slow cooker works best when it's between ½ and 2/3 full of ingredients.
  • Preheat the slow cooker. Rather than adding all of the ingredients and then turning on the heat, give your cooker an extra 20 minutes to warm up.
